On the 2nd of November, 1925, the village of Porthllwyd in Dolgarrog was swept away when two dams, Eigiau and Coedty failed.
Sixteen people lost their lives, and the village was destroyed. All that remains are huge boulders that were washed down with the flood water.
There is now a memorial walk through the area where the village stood, and some information boards.
I have taken a few photographs of some of the boulders where they came to rest along the memorial walk, I could feel the eeriness.
